Tiago has held managerial roles in various B2B ventures for both seed to growth stage startups.

He was previously co-Founder/COO of Sooqini, UK's #1 on-demand task assistance platform for SMEs. Prior to that he lead business and partnership development at a global indoor GPS player.

Currently, he is the international business development director of Blackboard - a global leading e-learning player, where he is building strategic partnerships with publishers and edtech players, responsible for M&A opportunities and seeks creative ways to generate more revenues for the Group.

He is also advising startups in the sharing economy and fintech space and fluent in English, Portuguese, Italian and intermediate in Spanish. 

He holds a BSc at Wharton School and MBA from INSEAD Business School.

Philipp Gérard

Philipp C. Gérard is FinLeap’s Head of Product and is responsible for the product strategy of FinLeap and its ventures, as well as internal project management. Previously, Philipp worked with companies such as Kununu, Savedo (a FinLeap company) and multiple national and international NGOs. Philipp studied International Business Studies at WU Vienna and holds a Tri-Continental MBA from UVic, NEOMA and Sungkyunkwan University. He is a self-taught developer who learned programming at the age of 12, and founded his first company at the age of 16.

Carl is a senior business advisor with over 20 years experience advising boards and management. During that time Carl’s work has spanned almost every industry, and he has advised clients across most of Europe and North America, as well as large parts of Asia and Africa. Carl has lived and worked in the UK, Sweden, the US, Hong Kong and France. Carl is a frequent speaker and commentator on topics like strategy, executive pay and corporate governance issues from an international perspective.

Carl has a particular focus on the relationships between company performance, corporate governance and compensation, how these evolve together and how to make them all work from an international perspective. He has broad experience working with management and boards with diverse circumstances and problems, understanding fundamental and intricate business issues and helping to find simple solutions in complex settings.

He has functional experience in strategy, marketing, sales and ‘people’, and domain expertise in e-commerce (White Company; Figleaves), logistics (Yodel; iForce), outsourcing (EDS; Accenture), managed services (Netstore; Bluesource), software products (Microsoft; Oracle; Push), insurance (Innovation; CPG; APA) and consumer electronics (Game; Fove). 

Before being ‘plural’, Rob worked for EDS (now HP) as European Marketing Director; the IT industry trade association, CSSA (now TechUK) as Director General; and was CEO of a number of fast growing companies in the UK and Japan. Rob has an MBA, holds Chartered status as a Director, Engineer, and Marketer; is a fellow of the RSA, IoD, ISMM, and BCS; a Court Liveryman of the IT Livery Company, where he is Chairman of the Entrepreneurs Panel; and is a Visiting Senior Fellow at Cass Business School. He was recently featured in the ‘Maserati 100’ list of entrepreneur mentors, and won ‘Mentor of the Year’ for the second time at the 2015 WCIT & TechUK Enterprise Awards.

Davide Turi

Davide has 20 years of experience across the entire digital media value chain, having worked in a range of multidisciplinary positions - including content production, technology, product marketing and content monetization - for international multimedia companies. 

He has been co-founder of business enterprises in online media, and he has successfully sold one. 

His specialties are new product development, product strategy, product marketing and content authoring. 

He also is a digital activist as book author, lecturer, start-up mentor, event organizer, journalist, and holds an Executive MBA degree from Imperial College London.

Ben Chesser

Ben is an experienced CEO with a passion for market changing disruptive technologies. For the last 10 years he has been focussed on bringing the rigour and measurability of the online retail world into offline businesses, helping retailers understand the true value of their customers.

Ben began his career as a management consultant with a top tier global consultancy where he focused on the mobile telecoms sector.  Ben then moved on to become the European Director for Scanbuy a leading mobile customer engagement platform and then founded and ran Codilink Consulting to provide expert advice and project implementation for "hi-tech marketing". 

During his time at Codilink Consulting Ben also founded and ran the Codilink platform which became the leading provider of end-to-end solutions for coupons, vouchers, tickets and loyalty cards on paper, through email and through mobile phones.  Over time that platform has evolved to become Coniq a very successful and revolutionary new SaaS marketing platform to the Retail, Shopping Centre and Hospitality sectors.

Scott Johnson

Scott is a serial entrepreneur who brings more than 32 years of progressive business experience and a strong passion for creating innovative products and services. His entrepreneurial roots began in 1980 at age sixteen when he founded his first business venture Ultimate Entertainment; a mobile entertainment company. This early foray into the business world ultimately resulted in the sale of his company in 1990 after ten years of successful operations.
A military veteran, Scott entered the Canadian Armed Forces in 1983 where in addition to running his company, he became cross-certified, first as a Naval Shipwright with the Navy, then as an Aerospace Engineering Technologist with the Airforce.  In 1993, Scott returned to business where he has since served in various senior roles, either as the lead entrepreneur or as senior team member within the advanced manufacturing, hardware, software, internet and mobile technology sectors.

Scott is a specialist at product ideation and is well versed in the practices of moving an organization from concept through to commercialization. Scott is also a student mentor and frequent guest speaker at the University of Victoria's Peter B. Gustavson School of Business on the subject of value co-creation for early-stage companies.

Hayley Collen

An accomplished mentor, investor and supporter of impact SME’s Hayley is a key player in the ongoing success of UK high growth businesses.  Hayley has first-hand knowledge of setting up and managing her own business and has several years’ experience of helping companies with structuring, raising debt and equity finance, developing commercial strategies and preparing for exit.

In addition to 14 years of private equity portfolio management involving over 300 investments across all sectors, Hayley has also been an active trustee and advisor to a health and wellbeing charity and regular mentor to a selection of social enterprises.

Charles Lorenceau

Charles has been a managing director since he joined ACE & Company (“ACE”) in 2011. In addition to heading the London office, managing ACE’s Angel investment portfolio, and leading investments across all ACE’s strategies, Charles has held directorship positions in ACE’s investment companies since he joined the group. During this time, he has overseen the execution of multiple direct investment transactions, and also actively participated in the creation of several portfolio companies.

Prior to ACE, Charles held a financial analyst position at Royal Bank of Canada Capital Markets, the corporate finance division of Canada's leading bank, where he participated in the preparation, completion, and review of advisory mandates, mergers, acquisitions, and financial review for corporate clients. Based out of Calgary, he focused mainly on serving energy companies.

Ben Fletcher

A master networker, Ben is the Founder and Director of Lead Bullets Ltd, a company that runs events specifically for fast growth businesses. Prior to that he has been a shareholder and director of several businesses. His main business being Osney Media which doubled in size each year for its first 5 years reaching $5m+ revenue and 60 staff. Ben is a strong supporter and advocate of the tech sector and ensuring high-growth businesses have the expertise and resources they need to grow effectively. Eleonora Ferrero
